GlobalShop 2013

GlobalShop 2013, the largest store design and at-retail marketing show in the USA.  The event takes place April 16-18, at the McCormick Place Convention Center, Chicago, IL.

Retail Focus: Armourcoat is taking a stand at GlobalShop for the first time in 2013. What products will you be exhibiting?
Shawn Tweedy: We’re really excited to be part of GlobalShop in 2013, the largest store design and at-retail marketing show in the United States. Armourcoat will be presenting a new custom-made decorative wall panel system, evolved from our renowned range of applied seamless wall finishes – ArmourFX.

Our team of specialist designers and artisan plasterers based in Las Vegas can work with clients to create integrated custom wall panel systems or design statement single artwork pieces.  We can even include corporate logos or themed colours and finish techniques.    Once finished, the panels are delivered direct from our single source workshop in custom-made foam packaging to ensure safe arrival on site.  As all modular systems, the panels can be hung and removed as required, with no specialist installation necessary.

We invite clients to visit us at the show at booth #2049, where we are demonstrating the use and application of ArmourFX in a retail setting.  We also delighted to be hosting ‘Retail Focus’ on the stand.

RF: Tell us more about the new ArmourFX.
ST: The finished ArmourFX panels are supplied pre-fitted with coloured edge banding and Z-clips to aid on-site installation.  Z-clips provide fast installation and ease of handling, and also ensure the panels are demountable for access to services behind.  The clips themselves are hidden by the secured panel with just ¼” build up between back of panel and substrate.  Finally, panels can be installed and adjusted laterally and vertically for a perfect fit.

RF: What makes it so well suited to retail environments?
ST: ArmourFX panels provide a quick and mess-free solution for a retail setting.  Often projects are under tight deadlines for completion, or it is impractical to work with ‘wet’ plastering trades on site.  ArmourFX can be highly customized to suit the client, sent directly to site and installed in a few hours.  This is perfect for a quick turn-around, perhaps for a rebranding or change in store decor.  With the use of Z-clips for mounting, panels can be removed for access to service channels or for seasonal changes.

RF: What else do you plan to do/see while you're in town?
ST: Given our attendance at the GlobalShop exhibition we’ll be visiting some our recent retail projects on the ‘Magnificent Mile’ on Michigan Avenue, then Chicago’s Loop and Macy’s department store on State Street.
